Venini

Our rich palette of 125 tones is the utmost expression of our artistic and cultural heritage. This array of colour is unrivalled in Murano glassmaking.

Milanese lawyer Paolo Venini and antiquarian Giacomo Cappellin founded their glassmaking company in 1921, with Venetian artist Vittorio Zecchin joining soon after as artistic director. Their three personalities informed the identity of a brand that continues to focus on the values of updating tradition and mastering glassmaking techniques.

Venini’s glassmaking heritage has its origins in 13th-century Venetian culture. Today, the company combines traditional knowledge with contemporary ideas about art, innovation and production. Over the decades, Venini has collaborated with many revered artists and designers, including Carlo Scarpa, Gio Ponti and Ettore Sottsass. Each encounter allows for cross-pollination between artistry, Murano glass and avant-garde design, resulting in objects that represent a pure expression of creative experimentation.
