Item Description
Created in 1985 by the granddaughter of Paolo Venini, Laura De Santillana, the Coccio vase is reminiscent of Paleolithic antiquities.
Made by Venini's master glassmakers in Murano, Italy, this work employs the Murrine multicoloured glass technique. This ancient segmentation practice was developed in Alexandrian and Roman times, then rediscovered by the Venetians at the end of the 15th century. Each vase carries the mark of a master craftsman; a custodian of the company's history and expertise.
