Kirsty Adams Ceramics

"Each piece carries the rhythm of the wheel, spontaneous, intentional, and quietly expressive.”

Trained at Brighton Art College and on the potter’s wheel in Japan, Kirsty Adams has cultivated a distinctive approach to throwing porcelain, fusing precision with intuitive gesture. Her practice centers on the quiet beauty of repetition and touch: comb tools mark the clay with rhythmic lines, while high-gloss glazes and bronze or copper rims elevate each vessel with subtle luminosity. Her work ranges from expressive vases to bespoke collections that recall the landscapes and textures of Iceland, Japan, and the British coastline.

Kirsty’s ceramics have earned recognition from the Crafts Council, National Trust, and Homo Faber, where she is listed as a Master Artisan. Recent commissions include signature vases for Fulham Pier Brasserie, inspired by the floral legacy of Constance Spry. Her work is represented by Design-Nation UK and the Society of Designer Craftsmen, and continues to be exhibited internationally. With collections such as Tenmoku and Icelandic Rockpool, she crafts enduring pieces that evoke memory, landscape, and the quiet strength of the handmade.
