Jurassic Maca Stoneware Large Moon Jar is thrown in white textured stoneware and takes inspiration from the Jurassic limestone layers of the Algarve coastline and caves. The rounded form, reminiscent of an apple (maca in Portuguese), is glazed with copper green, cobalt blue, and rutile, creating a surface where turquoise tones evoke the sea and contrast with the rock-like colour of bare clay.
