With a BA in Contemporary Applied Arts and training at Cordwainers, Natalie Thakur founded Natthakur, a collection of leather bags seen in Selfridges, Le Bon Marché and The V&A. Neale Marriott, a trained Garden Designer, has over 20 years of experience as an artist and art educator, with works featured in One Aldwych Hotel, Parkridge House, Maersk Shipping and SmithKline Beecham. In 2024, Natalie was named UK Leatherworker of the Year by Heritage Crafts for her outstanding contribution to leatherworking.
Every leatherwork piece, oil painting and embroidered cushion is manufactured in the studio's Chiltern Hills workshop located just outside of London, enabling full control from concept to completion. Neale individually frames each painting, wall panel, and mirror using at least 70% FSC certified oak, cherry, and walnut. A specialist finish is then applied to enhance the richness of the wood's natural characteristics.
