ZAMBIA Stacking Glass Vessel Large is a modular vessel combining a hand-blown glass base with a woven basket made from locally sourced Makenge root. Created in collaboration with refugee women living in UN camps in Zambia, each piece reflects individual craftsmanship and cultural tradition.
The vessel can be separated into a glass vase and a woven basket, allowing for flexible use as both a functional object and a decorative form. Designed and prototyped in 2023 with the support of MADE51.
Available in Zambia Blue, Zambia Caramel, and Zambia Amber.
Note: Each vessel is blown by hand, resulting in natural variation unique to every piece.
