The Velo Fumes Chair is a variation on Jan Waterson's signature piece.
The recipient of a coveted Wood Award, this sculptural work has been celebrated since its inception in 2016.
Inspired by the seamless tubular construction seen in bicycle design, each chair offers a distinct relationship between body and form. Here, steam bent English Ash is lightly scorched using the shou sugi ban (焼杉板) technique, offering a distinct ombre finish.
