German designer Sebastian Herkner set out to use glass in a new way when creating the Alwa tables. The solid cast glass top contrasts with the general perception of glass as a fragile material.
Alwa is produced in a range of transparent and opaque colours. This version combines a cylindrical amber glass tabletop with a simple metal frame. The process used to cast the thick glass creates bubbles in the surface that make each piece unique. This playful design is great for adding character to any living space.
