Item Description
The Oyster collection by Sarah-Linda Forrer pays homage to the humble oyster shell. Forming part of a family of pieces, the sensory design and elegant colours explore the relationship between organic forms and tactile surfaces.
Handcrafted in Amsterdam, each piece is meticulously cast and finished in a small metal casting studio located in the Friesland province of the Netherlands. Oyster makes an eye-catching addition when placed on any table, vanity, or desk.
Over time, bronze can naturally develop a tarnished appearance. To restore its shine, mix baking soda with a small amount of water to create a thick paste. Apply the paste to the tarnished area and allow it to sit for a few minutes, ensuring it doesn’t dry. Avoid textured or colored areas to protect the patina. Using a soft cloth, gently rub in circular motions. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry. For added protection, apply a small amount of mineral oil to a clean cloth and gently rub it onto the surface, enhancing the bronze’s natural sheen.
