The Idyllic Summer vase forms part of a family of pieces featuring a brilliant blue hue and delicate undulating lines that pay homage to the Greek coastline.
Inspired by traditional Turkish glassware, the vase is made using a combination of Çesm-i Bülbül – a filigree glass blowing technique adapted by the Ottoman Empire – and incalmo – where two separately blown glass bubbles are joined together while they are still hot. The glassware brings colour into the interior and works well as a stand-alone piece or assembled with other pieces from the collection.
