Studio Sahil honours the poetry and ethical opportunities inherent in glass. Founded by Rezzan Hasoğlu, the London studio's hand-blown vessels each display the maker’s mark, offering tangible links to materials and process.

Studio Sahil

It's the swish of water in a glass, the curve of a vase, or the shadows created by sunlight in a room; when you stop to ask questions about the objects you encounter every day, stories and connections start to emerge.

Founder Rezzan Hasoğlu was educated in industrial design at Rhode Island School of Design and studied glassmaking at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. Her work has been exhibited globally at events including the Design Turkey Awards Finalists Exhibition (2018) and the Lexus Design Award (2019).

Sahil is the Turkish word for coast or shore. The studio is inspired and informed by natural phenomena, complex patterns and seaside landscapes. Each work is handmade from organic materials in collaboration with local artisans, using materials and techniques that respect the environment. Storytelling and narrative are key to the studio’s designs, which explore how we interact with everyday objects. Rezzan experiments with unusual methods of making, such as infusing glass with sand to add pattern and texture. The resulting collection is inventive, surprising and expertly crafted.
