Aroosh and Nitush Mahipal founded Nitush - Aroosh design studio after completing their business studies in Europe and returning to work at their family’s steel company in India. Drawing inspiration from their extensive travels, the brothers craft captivating and evocative objects that utilise steel’s inherent strength and mesmerising reflectivity.
Nitush - Aroosh’ wall art, mirrors, sculptures and furniture are made from recyclable stainless steel with a lustrous mirror polish that incorporates the viewer’s reflection into the artwork. The shiny surfaces also evoke the play of sunlight on water, adding a dynamic dimension that enhances the connection with nature. Each piece utilises precision metal-forming techniques and specialist tools to create the studio’s signature crumpled texture. These quirky, experimental and environmentally aware objects aim to leave a lasting impression on those who experience them.
