As I delve into the architectural beauty of hand crochet, its purpose evolves into textile construction. By stripping each element to its purest form, each pendant light seamlessly integrates tactility, simplicity, and visual minimalism.

Naomi Paul established her design studio in 2012, inspired by her fascination with textiles ignited during a trip to Japan and her encounter with traditional weavers. She earned a BA from Chelsea College of Art and Design and began creating couture for fashion designers before venturing into interior decor products.

Each meticulously handcrafted pendant light is created using the ancient art of hand crochet by skilled textile artisans, led by head craftswoman Felicie Costes. With precise tensioning, the designs are shaped into sculptural silhouettes using a variety of colours and stitch-knitted to perfection using Egyptian cotton yarns and a birch ply hook, evoking the craftsmanship of a potter's wheel. Embracing sustainability, Naomi follows a closed-loop cycle ethos in design and production, minimising waste and promoting environmental responsibility.
