MMOOS. builds on a marble-working tradition cultivated by the Sommo family in Turin since 1919. The studio works primarily with marble, travertine, and other natural stones, producing objects in limited series. Each piece reflects the natural variation of the material, making every object unique while emphasising the inherent character of stone.
MMOOS. explores sculptural and symbolic interpretations of stone through contemporary design, approaching objects as functional forms that sit between everyday utility and collectible design. In collaboration with the Turin-based architecture and design studio BRH+, which developed the MOSTRO collection, the brand experiments with expressive geometries and bold material presence. Through careful shaping and finishing, the work emphasises the physical weight, texture, and visual depth of stone, allowing each piece to act as both a practical object and a sculptural element within interior spaces.
