Morten Mernøe, a mechanical engineer, established Mernøe in 2021 alongside his sons, Ulrik and Jakob. Morten’s engineering expertise drives the technical precision behind each design, focusing on the intricate details of joints, connections, and parts. Together, they craft lamps that embody both the family’s passion for design and an emphasis on functional artistry.
At Mernøe, all lamps are crafted from solid wood and metals, processed by local artisans near their studio. The creation process is highly collaborative, with each piece treated individually by hand before final assembly. Mernøe produces each lamp to order, customizing materials for specific requirements to make long lasting designs and reduce waste.
