We are inspired by a vision of the future in which digital technologies and a humanistic approach go hand in hand, with sustainability as the main and essential objective.
Founded in 2007 by an engineer, architect and marketing and communications expert, Mediterranea Design is a truly multidisciplinary practice with a portfolio that spans urban architecture projects, exhibition installations and furniture design. Based in Italy's Campania region, the team is made up of designers, entrepreneurs, engineers, researchers and content creators.
With a focus on sustainability, Mediterranea Design's portfolio of futuristic furniture includes chairs, stools and tables made in Italy from experimental materials such as 3D-printed bioplastic. The vivid colours and free-flowing forms of each piece are inspired by the Mediterranean landscape and the skill of the maker's hand. Passionate about Italian craftsmanship in the digital era, Mediterranea Design also runs courses that educate artisans on how to blend traditional and digital processes. Its ambition is to encourage the creation of forward-thinking products that are more sustainable, affordable and durable.
