Marble Balloon
Working with marble allows us to create unique objects thanks to the non-repetitive nature of the stones. Our pieces reflect the juxtaposition of heavy materials and light forms, just like marble balloons.
Marble Balloon’s pieces are designed by co-founders Ali Balkaya and Mert Cahit Ertural, who also provide interior design services through their 7020 Design Studio. The brand has featured in leading global design publications including Elle Decoration and Architectural Digest.
Only truly extraordinary stones are selected for Marble Balloon’s products and furniture, which feature organic, asymmetric forms intended to create a captivating contrast between fluidity and solidity. Each one-of-a-kind piece is handcrafted in Turkey by skilled artisans. Marble Balloon sources boutique stones such as travertine marble, green onyx and semiprecious amethyst, which are machine cut to create surprising shapes and hand finished with extraordinary attention to detail. The collection also incorporates solid brass, stainless steel and burl wood veneers that complement the richly textured stone surfaces.
