“Every project begins with the hand, its instinct, its imperfection, its history.”

Helena began her journey at Parsons School of Design, New York, followed by a fellowship with Donna Karan in Haiti, where she helped revive local craft economies. At 22, she launched her own label, blending material-led design with a nomadic, cross-cultural spirit. Her work spans hand-painted silks, sculptural textiles, and installations inspired by field research and traditional techniques. She has since led projects at Iris van Herpen and studied at SDA Bocconi in Milan, merging design thinking with social entrepreneurship.

Helena’s work is rooted in slow craft, cultural continuity, and material storytelling. She partners directly with weavers, dyers, and embroiderers from Madagascar to Indonesia, placing collaborative authorship and process at the core of her studio practice. Her accolades include features with Vogue Talents, Lakmé Gen Next, and the CFDA Future Fashion Graduate Showcase, alongside recent residencies with Brunello Cucinelli’s Solomeo Academy and the Saudi Ministry of Culture. From runway to gallery, each of Helena’s projects reflects her commitment to design as dialogue, between geographies, generations, and gestures.
