Dooq is a Portuguese design studio exploring the contrast between softness and strength, tradition and innovation. Part of the Emotional Brands collective, Dooq creates furniture and objects that celebrate the luxury of living through tactile materials, sculptural form, and an evocative design language.

Founded in Porto, Dooq is a studio exploring duality through material, scale, and form. Drawing on art, architecture, and decorative traditions, the team pairs velvet with brass, straw with marble, and glass with wood. Each piece is a study in contrast, balancing softness and structure, past and present. With an emphasis on detail and expressive form, Dooq has gained international recognition for its refined yet bold collection of furniture, lighting, and objects - offering strength, sensuality, and character.

Dooq combines creative exploration with Portuguese craft expertise to create pieces that blur the line between art and design. Working with local artisans, the studio uses techniques such as marquetry, upholstery, and metalwork to express material richness and contrast. Inspired by opposites - soft and hard, classic and contemporary - Dooq’s evolving catalogue reflects a sensual, sculptural language rooted in emotion, form, and function.
