Anne Nowak
To give form to what cannot be named.
Rooted in a childhood shaped by nature on the island of Bornholm, Nowak’s practice evolves through an intuitive and material-led process. Working across mediumsf rom cyanotype to textiles and large-scale installations, she experiments to translate inner, meditative landscapes into physical form. Her approach is driven by repetition, testing, and a sensitivity to colour, light, and texture, often informed by memory, natural cycles, and the cosmos.
Anne Nowak’s work explores the space between the visible and the invisible, shaped by themes of duality and impermanence. Drawing from memory, mythology, and nature, she creates immersive works guided by an intuitive dialogue between material, colour, and form. Increasingly incorporating recycled and natural materials, her practice reflects a growing commitment to sustainability. Her work invites a slower, more contemplative engagement.
