Ame Editions Manufacturées

Design Studio

Paris, France

Founded by designer Julie Schouvey, Ame Editions Manufacturées creates objects that are minimalist, poetic, and quietly expressive. Rooted in French craftsmanship, the studio explores the essential soul or âme of an object through sustainable materials, sensitive design, and enduring form.

Ame Editions Manufacturées

French word “Ame” means soul, the soul is the essence of a thing, what it remains outside of all materiality.

Julie Schouvey brings a multidisciplinary background to Ame Editions Manufacturées, shaped by training in fashion, textile design, and luxury management, and experience with Christian Lacroix, independent cinema, and heritage maisons. She founded Âme as a space for objects that blur art and utility. Each piece reflects careful exploration of balance, asymmetry, time, and material. Working with French and European artisans, she creates objects with tactile richness and subtle architectural presence.

At the heart of Ame Editions is a commitment to ethical making and a deep reverence for craft. Local, natural materials, French hardwoods, European alabaster, are chosen for their intrinsic properties and sourced near the workshops that shape them. With no use of plastic and packaging made from recycled content, the studio maintains a considered, low-impact approach to design. The result is a growing collection of soulful, lasting pieces that express quiet luxury and intentional living.
