Ashiesh Shah's sculptural and functional Damroo stool features a metal form influenced by traditional drums.
Damroo takes its name from an hourglass-shaped Indian drum associated with the Hindu god Shiva. The stool is handmade from copper, which is worked to create a shape that expands outwards at the top and bottom. This versatile piece can be used for casual seating or placed next to a sofa to provide a convenient side table.
