The Tessellation rug is informed by designer Michael Young’s experiments with the Voronoi pattern, which is most recognisable as the pattern of a giraffe’s skin. Young is known for his expertise in combining technology with craft. The rug’s pattern was generated using a computer algorithm and the abstract design is recreated in hand-tufted wool. The result is a bold and contemporary design with an irregular perimeter that gives the rug a strong presence within the room.
