German designer Sebastian Herkner set out to use glass in a new way when creating the Alwa tables. The solid cast glass top contrasts with the general perception of glass as a fragile material.

Alwa is produced in a range of transparent and opaque colours. This white version combines two stacked cylinders that give the table a totemic appearance. The process used to cast the glass tabletop creates bubbles in the surface that make each piece unique. This playful side table is great for adding character to any living space.

Note: Each glass is unique. Small bubbles and streaks, as well as minor variations in colour and size, are characteristic of handmade glass and are not flaws of design or manufacture.
