Putty Grasses Wall Art
Louise Heighes crafts her handmade leather artworks at her studio in Margate, England. Building on her fashion background, she cuts, weaves and folds the material into 3D shapes to create unique art pieces for the interior design market.
This piece captures the way grasses sway on mass when caught in a breeze, creating dynamic rippling patterns with a mesmeric quality. The grass stalks are represented as simple lines of 3D petals spread randomly across the surface. Louise makes incisions in a leather sheet and carefully pushes through pieces from another sheet below to create the textured artwork. This monochrome version in a natural putty shade will add a subtle decorative touch to any contemporary interior.
Price includes frame as per image.
