The handblown vessel is made using a decorative glass technique called Graal that was developed by Orrefors of Sweden in 1916. The process involves cutting layers of coloured glass with diamond engraving wheels to create patterns. Realised in a vivid orange hue, Alcyoneum has a mesmerising, dreamlike quality.
